Session Overview
Trying to keep up with educational trends? What works? What doesn't work? Where is education headed these days? If any of these questions have crossed your mind lately, join Dr. Sarah Eaton for this upcoming Spotlight Session.
In the 21st Century, new trends in education include using technology both inside and outside the classroom; adopting an individualized and learner-centered approach to learning; linking language learning to leadership skills and community impact; and asset-based approaches to assessment, including frameworks and benchmarks.
In this session you will learn what new trends are, how these trends impact your classroom, and what you can do today to bring your classroom into the 21st century. This spotlight session is for educators, administrators, government, consultants, not-for-profit organizations and the general public.
Come and join this interactive conversation with Dr. Sarah Eaton, an engaging speaker and inspiring educational leader who challenges administrators and teachers to raise their own bar in order to make education more effective for today's students. You can check out Dr. Eaton's blog at http://drsaraheaton.wordpress.com or visit her website at http://www.eatonintl.com. Dr. Eaton is a published author with experience teaching Spanish on several levels. She has spoken and consulted internationally, and she has been instrumental in establishing several, language-based collaborative efforts.
